1 Introduction

Discrimination is a common and consistent problem that affects people from numerous backgrounds. LGBTQ+ individuals are often scrutinised, which can have a negative impact on their mental health. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between stigma and mental health outcomes for this group. This research will allow us to develop interventions and policies that are targeted and effective at reducing stigmatisation and improving the mental health of this population. We will use a combination of literature review and survey research methods. The findings will be of interest to researchers, policymakers, and practitioners working in the fields of health and social care.
